Chaz Chapman

“The future belongs to the few of us still willing to get our hands dirty”


Chaz Chapman is an experienced people and strategy professional with almost 10 years professional experience committed to shaping company culture to achieve short and long-term objectives for operations, talent, and growth. Chapman is currently a Senior Associate in for The Segal Group within its Organizational Effectiveness practice and focuses on organizational and operational assessments, employee engagement, future of work strategy, workforce analytics, survey development and analysis, and strategic planning initiatives.

Prior to his role at Segal, he worked with NPAG, an executive search firm, where he focused on human resources infrastructure building and assessment for social impact organizations looking to accelerate their people and strategy practices. And during his time as the Director of Talent & Branding for Agape Youth & Family Center, he helped build its first ever human resources department and with it, supported 25+ employees by administering all human resource functions, including recruitment, engagement, and retention, organization design, orientation and training, employee engagement/culture, performance strategy and metrics, compensation, bi-weekly payroll and HRIS. 

Since 2016, he has secured more than $20,000 to fund the C.A.T.A.L.Y.S.T.S. Scholarship (Cultivating Achievers To Actively Lead & Yield Strategic & Transformative Success), he launched in partnership with Kennesaw State University, to encourage philanthropy and social responsibility among young minority students and emerging minority-led or serving nonprofits.

Chaz has a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia where he focused on strategies that support engaging and retaining a diverse workforce. He remains grounded in social impact, as he has served as the Vice President of Kennesaw State’s Black Alumni Society, a 2020 United Way Volunteer Involvement Program alum, the 30 Under 30 and Immersion Fellowship Chair for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) of Atlanta, and a pro bono consultant for Compass Pro Bono.

He currently lives in Atlanta with his Airedale Terrier, Jäger, and is on the hunt for reboots that are actually worthwhile!
